Mujibnagar: The First Provisional Government of Bangladesh

Formed in exile on April 10, 1971, and sworn in at Baidyanathtala (Mujibnagar) on April 17, the provisional government provided the legal, diplomatic, and military leadership during the nine-month war.

With Tajuddin Ahmad serving as Prime Minister and Syed Nazrul Islam as Acting President, the administration effectively directed the Mukti Bahini and secured global support.
