The 7th March Address: A Call to Resistance

On March 7, 1971, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered his landmark speech before an estimated crowd of two million people at the Racecourse Ground.

Concluding with the famous words, 'The struggle this time is for our emancipation; the struggle this time is for our independence,' the address served as the de facto declaration of civil and military resistance.
